主要从事于凝聚态理论、特别是强关联多电子系统与高温超导电性的研究,发表学术论文200余篇,同时从事于本科生课程的教学工作和研究生的培养工作,已培养了30名博士和24名硕士。入选1994年度教育部《跨世纪优秀人才计划》,获1997年度香港求是科技基金会“杰出青年学者奖”,1998年被国家人事部授予“中青年有突出贡献专家”, 2001年度获国家杰出青年基金资助。
